Institute releases annual conference details

37352276_sUK: The Institute of Refrigeration has released a provisional programme of papers to be presented at its annual conference on February 18.

Titled Emissions, Energy and Eco Design, the conference will explore how energy and emission saving in component and system design are being achieved. It will focus on a range of topics including the impact of refrigerant choice, European Safety Standards, the Ecodesign Directive and proposed amendments to the Montreal Protocol.

The conference will take place during the ACR Show in hall 9 at the NEC, Birmingham.

Papers already confirmed include:

Design in the future – using Ecodesign, Prof Judith Evans, London South Bank University and Refrigeration Development and Testing
• 
Opportunities of the green economy – recycling, remanufacturing and the WEEE Directive, Julie-Ann Adams, Really Green Credential
• 
EN378 2016 changes and challenges, Dr Andy Pearson, chairman of RHE18
• A global perspective on emission reduction obligations, Daniel Colbourne, Re-phridge and member of the UNEP Refrigeration Technical Options Committee (TOC) for the Montreal Protocol

The event will end with a discussion of the important issued raised during the presentations.

Bookings are now open. The IoR member price is £50 + VAT. Delegates will receive lunch and a full set of conference proceeding. A reduced student rate is available.
