Leach has Carel’s energy solutions

Michael Leach: raising awareness

UK: Controls and humidification company Carel has appointed Michael Leach within its Climate Division with responsibility for applied products and technical solutions.

Michael, a well-known face within the design sector of the energy solutions industry, brings over 30 years of experience to open up this sector for Carel UK’s offering, which he feels has previously been undersold.

His most recent role was at ESG as a technical consultant promoting energy management.

Commenting on Michael Leach’s appointment, md Bob Cowlard said: “His extensive technical sales experience and background in this sector means he understands the dilemma of the consultants and can talk their language. We are looking forward to developing a much larger presence in the specification market and delivering on our plans for strong growth in the UK.”

“Historically Carel have excellent relationships with end users in the controls and refrigeration sectors and with OEMs but their climate solutions are less well-known with mechanical designers,” said Michael Leach. “We have superb hvac, cooling and humidification, however they have largely been undersold in this market.

“My role is to raise awareness of Carel and build relationships with consultants, but also to open up wider conversations about improving efficiency and quality through our solutions, service and support.”
