Over 500 complete Daikin R32 training

UK: Daikin UK says it has trained more than 500 installers on the use of R32 refrigerant since launching its training scheme last November.

The course, entitled R32 System Installations – Are you ready?, covers installation, commissioning and servicing of R32 systems, in response to Daikin’s pioneering lead in the introduction of air conditioners using the new lower GWP, “mildly flammable” refrigerant.

To date, over 470 companies and 550 individuals are said to have received comprehensive training in Daikin UK’s leading training facilities in Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester, Leeds, Glasgow, Woking and the DoubleTree Hilton in Nottingham.

“The number of course attendees and the rate of course registrations is a clear demonstration of the demand for R32 training,” commented Daikin UK product manager Martin Passingham.

“With continuously developing regulations surrounding the environmental impact and carbon emissions of refrigerants, it is crucial that specialist manufacturer training is available so that installers and engineers can navigate regulation changes with peace of mind,” he added.
