PM David Cameron visits Fläkt Woods
UK: Taking a break from electioneering, Prime Minister David Cameron paid a visit to Essex-based fan manufacturer Fläkt Woods yesterday.
Escorted by Fläkt Woods’ UK md and vice president for the Fan Business Unit Ian Morehouse, David Cameron viewed the production and engineering facilities and met with team members. Particular attention was paid to the company’s new JMv aerofoil fan which has been developed using advanced engineering design tools and emphasised its efficiency and performance.
Pleased to welcome Prime Minister David Cameron, Ian Morehouse said: “It allowed us to demonstrate our technical capabilities and how we are developing our workforce that together push forward to improve our diverse product range to meet customer needs.”
“To be recognised by the Prime Minister demonstrates how effective Fläkt Woods is within the UK and world-wide markets,” said Yan Evans, vice president for UK Sales Unit. “It is a credit to the effort of our employees for continuing to keep Fläkt Woods a name you can trust and rely on.”
The new JMv aerofoil is said to increase fan efficiencies by up to 82% and reduce running costs on average of 17%.
