Refrigerant guru Peter Dinnage retires

UK: Peter Dinnage, technical director of Climalife UK, has retired after more than 30 years in the refrigerants business.

After studying chemistry at university, Dinnage joined ISC Chemicals, later becoming ISCEON Distribution Services and IDS Refrigeration before becoming a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Dehon Group in 2005.

Highly regarded for his technical knowledge of refrigerants and understanding of the F-gas regulations, he received the ACR News Alan Moor Award for his contribution to the industry this year.

Commenting on his retirement, Climalife UK MD Allan Harper said: “Peter has seen some significant changes across the industry over his 30+ years and has had a big impact on how the refrigerant market looks today and will shape up in the future. Many of our customers and industry colleagues have learned from Peter’s knowledge and expertise and he has supported them in finding new solutions for their cooling challenges.

“On behalf of the Climalife team and indeed the cooling industry, I would like to thank Peter for his hard work, dedication and perseverance whilst working in the industry. He will be hugely missed by the whole team and we wish him the very best in his retirement years.”
