Refrigeration firms back new catering show

Comm-Kitchen-logoUK: The UK is to have a new exhibition dedicated to the commercial kitchen equipment sector.

Commercial Kitchen is scheduled to take place at the NEC Birmingham from 7-8 June 2016. The organiser, Diversified Communications UK, says the dedicated trade show is designed to accommodate all of the many vertical sectors served by the commercial kitchen industry, including restaurants and pubs, hotels, schools and universities, hospitals, prisons, supermarkets, leisure attractions, and install companies.

Diversified Communications UK, which already organises the Casual Dining and Lunch! events, says that the launch follows extensive consultation with leading industry suppliers, distributors and operators.

With the tag line ‘Equipment for kitchens that work’, the event is targeted to produce an exhibition of 100 companies with a high profile seminar and keynote programme.

Refrigeration companies Adande, Gram, Manitowoc and Electrolux Professional are said to be amongst the manufacturers and suppliers supporting the event.

One of those supporters, Glenn Roberts md of Gram (UK), said: “Gram are delighted to be supporting a clearly focused capital equipment event that gives us an ideal platform to meet prospective purchasers across the independent and group marketplace.”

Commenting on the launch, Chris Brazier, group event director of Commercial Kitchen, said: “For the first time, Commercial Kitchen will bring together senior decision makers and buyers from all the relevant sectors to do business with the most innovative catering equipment exhibitors in a focused business environment.”

Diversified Communications have a growing portfolio of events in the food sector. Among them are Lunch! (winner of three best trade show awards) and Casual Dining, which only launched in 2014, was named Best Tradeshow Exhibition under 2,000m2 for the second year running at the recent Association of Event Organisers’ Excellence Awards.

The Commercial Kitchen website is  launched today at www.CommercialKitchenshow.co.uk.
