RW acquires Banfield Refrigeration

UK: RW Refrigeration Wholesale has acquired the family-owned independent wholesaler Banfield Refrigeration Supplies.
Established in 1981 as a single-branch operation based in High Wycombe, Banfield Refrigeration Supplies acquired a reputation for its technical expertise and quality of its sales support.
Commenting on the acquisition, which is part of wider plans for expansion of the RW Refrigeration Wholesale business in the UK, RW national operations manager Andy Berry said “We have acquired a strong technically-biased independent wholesaler with a wealth of local experience. I am pleased to welcome Spencer Banfield, the former owner, to our team who will continue to head up the branch operation.”
Formerly known as United Refrigeration, RW Refrigeration Wholesale is part of the Beijer Ref group which also includes Dean & Wood in the UK. Since its acquisition by Beijer Ref in 2011, the company has grown from a regional to national player with 11 branches.
