Mandy Pilgrim: introducing the benefits of Samsung technology

UK: Wholesaler HRP is to provide enhanced support for Samsung air conditioning by increasing its stockholding, support and product training.

Under the new agreement HRP will stock the complete range of Samsung split systems and offer delivery to contractors throughout the UK, including  stockholding and delivery of split systems for other Samsung distributors.

Samsung says that the partnership, which started in 2009, will lead to an increase in readily available stock in the UK to help Samsung broaden its customer base as well as supplying its existing contractors.

“HRP has the resources and commitment to help drive our ambitious plans to increase our market share in the UK,” said Dave McSherry, Samsung UK’s head of air conditioning.

HRP already provides Samsung product training from its technical centre in Slough and throughout the UK using mobile rigs. As part of the extended agreement with Samsung, HRP will deliver training using bespoke Samsung training rigs in all their 16 UK locations to provide guidance and support to installation contractors and engineers.  This training will enhance and complement Samsung’s two dedicated training sites, including the newly-opened centre at Eastworth House in Chertsey.

Additionally, an accredited installer scheme will shortly be launched to provide extended service to contractors who meet required technical standards and commit to the relevant training courses. To support this enhanced offering, HRP have recently appointed Dugie McKerrow as head of air conditioning brands to liaise with manufacturers and specifiers, and head the enlarged product support team.

“Samsung have a competitive range of systems which covers virtually every need in the marketplace.” said Mandy Pilgrim, HRP Group managing director, “We look forward to working closely with them to introduce specifiers and contractors to the new benefits of Samsung technology.”
