SERC adds hydrocarbon training

serc_SERCLogoUK:  South Eastern Regional College (SERC), Lisburn, has added a hydrocarbon refrigerants qualification to its syllabus.

With the increasing emphasis on natural refrigerants, SERC says this one day course is designed for experienced engineers and will provide operatives with a recognised qualification in the safe handling of hydrocarbon refrigerants as well as the skills and knowledge required to safely handle HC refrigerant during installation, service and maintenance and disposal.

Engineers who attend this course must already have an F-gas qualification.

The training that is delivered incorporates the most up-to-date technology, which together with experienced and qualified staff, enables learners to undertake practical hands-on experience in our state of the art, purpose built workshops. SERC provides a variety of compliance training and assessment packages that can be tailored to suit individual requirements.

The training involves on-the-job handling assessments as well as classroom based learning in a wide range of modules related to leak checking, prevention and basic refrigeration theory.

SERC is the sole provider of refrigeration training in Northern Ireland.
