Six students through to Skills Show final

UK: Six air conditioning and refrigeration students from Glasgow, Bath and Lisburn colleges will compete in the SkillFridge final at this year’s Skills Show at the NEC in November.

The finalists, drawn from the six highest scorers from the three heats of the national SkillFridge competition, are John Thompson and Chad Meechan of Glasgow College, Steven  Monk and Chandler Davidson of Bath College and Chris Hoy and Luke Courtney of  South East Regional College (SERC) in Lisburn.

The Skills Show, organised by WorldSkills UK, will see 496 top apprentices and learners battling it out across a range of industries from engineering and construction through to digital and professional services.

Success at the national final can lead to an invitation into the WorldSkills UK international competition.
