Slater to senior R&D role

UK: Andy Slater has been promoted to the new role of senior technical, research and development manager at LG Air Conditioning and Energy Solutions in Weybridge.
After five years as the technical department’s lead supervisor and academy instructor, Andy’s new role will be to act as a link between departments in the company – marketing, sales and technical – raising awareness of the engineering capabilities on offer from LG.
Praising the potential at LG, Andy Slater said: “There is a general lack of awareness of the strengths we have in areas such as fluid dynamics and engineering modelling. I will be having a greater input to technical specifications and increasing communication with our factory to deliver the right product development and technical solutions that LG can offer to the sector in the UK.
“We’ll be offering a more integrated response for customers and working even closer with them to deliver a wider range of support more effectively,” he added.
