Space Engineering wins second H&S award

RoSPA-Gold-Award-2015UK: Leading refrigeration contractor Space Engineering Services has been awarded the RoSPA Gold Occupational Health and Safety Award for the second year running.

The Awards, which are part of the annual scheme organised by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA), celebrate achievement and commitment to raising the standards of health and safety management, recognising continuous improvement in accident and ill health prevention at work.

Declaring his delight that the company’s continued efforts have been recognised, Peter Wilkens, Space Engineering’s head of health, safety, environment and quality, said; “We take a proactive approach, both with our employees and our clients, focusing on the prevention of accidents by effective management and by ensuring that we have the correct procedures and training in place.”

The RoSPA awards date back 59 years and are open to businesses and organisations of all types and sizes from across the UK and overseas. Judges consider entrants’ overarching occupational health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.

The Gold Award will be presented to Space Engineering Services at the RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards 2015 ceremony at London’s ExCeL on June 16.
