Stoddart recognised for service to the industry

UK: Dougie Stoddart, the recently retired commercial director of Hubbard Products, was rewarded for his contribution to the industry at tonight’s IoR Scotland dinner in Glasgow.

Stoddart, who retired from Hubbard at the end of September after 34 years with the company, received this year’s Kooltech Award in front of full house at Glasgow’s Crowne Plaza hotel. 

He joined Hubbard Taylor Group in June 1987 as regional sales manage, was made  brewery manager for sales of cellar cooling systems in 1996 and then promoted to commercial manager responsible for all Hubbard Products commercial business in 2001. He became commercial director in April 2008. 

This year’s IoR Scottish Branch Apprentice of the Year was Scott Ballantyne of North Glasgow College, an apprentice with Albannach Einnseanair Ltd.
