TF/Lawton team tackle Scafell Pike

ScafellUK: A team from ac distributor TF Solutions and aluminium tube company Lawton Tubes walked to the summit of Scafell Pike last weekend to raise £3,500 for charity.

The annual challenge in aid of the Donna Louise Children’s Hospice Trust saw the 18-strong team conquer the 978m of England’s highest peak in an impressive 6.5 hours.

To date, the team from TF Solutions and Lawton Tubes have raised an incredible £8,000 for the trust by climbing some of the UK’s toughest mountains, including Snowdon and the Three Peaks of Yorkshire.

Donna Louise Children’s Hospice Trust is the company’s nominated charity, providing outstanding levels of treatment and support for children battling terminal illness.

Having chosen to tackle the climb from Langdale, which is known as the most challenging route, Adam Sanderson, operations manager at TF Solutions said: “Scafell was a much more challenging climb than we expected but we were so lucky to enjoy good weather on the day which made the walk much more enjoyable.

“We’re absolutely delighted with how much has been raised so far and the donations are still coming in which is fantastic, he added.”
