UK: Motor and fan manufacturer Torin-Sifan has opened a new £2m state-of-the-art production facility in Swindon.

The EC Manufacturing & Technology Centre is set to become a centre of excellence for the production of highly efficient EC motors, fans and blower products.

The new facility in Pagoda Park, Swindon, was officially opened last week by local MP Justin Tomlinson and the Mayor of Swindon, councillor Teresa Page.

The 25,000ft² facility houses purpose designed production lines, a sales and marketing suite, and staff welfare area. It allows the company to increase EC production by over 20%, whilst continuing with the manufacture of its traditional product ranges at its existing Greenbridge hq.

“As we celebrate 50 years of British manufacturing and innovation, we are delighted to open a world-class manufacturing centre here in Swindon,” said Torin-Sifan md Neil Sproston.

“At Torin-Sifan we are committed to producing high quality innovative products and lowering carbon emissions, British manufacturing allows us to deliver this for our customers. This expansion of our manufacturing capabilities means we are even better able to offer our global customer base cutting edge air movement technology and improved facilities will benefit both customers and staff. To be able to manufacture successfully in the UK is testament to the quality of our products and to the skills base here.”

Torin-Sifan’s EC technology has a wide range of applications including use in ventilation units, air handling units, heat recovery systems, air curtains and cooling equipment.
