Young and Nankivell win Cooling Awards

UK: Graham Young and Mike Nankivell were both honoured for their services to the industry at last night’s Cooling Awards in London.

Graham Young, industrial refrigeration sales director at Integral UK Ltd, won the Fred Jamieson Award for Industry Achievement. Meanwhile, Mike Nankivell, who represented the UK acr industry’s interests at national and European level for many years during his time as marketing director at Space Airconditioning, won the RAC Gold Award.

Refrigerant supplier A-Gas was the big winner on the night with two awards in the product awards. The Bristol-based company’s recently introduced Rapid Recovery service won both the Retail Initiative and Refrigeration Product of the year (Accessory, Component or Services) categories.

Environmental Collaboration: Thermonter.org  – Steve Gill’s industry mentoring scheme

Refrigeration Product of the Year: System or Standalone: G&O Refrigeration for its Gorac chiller pack for ice rinks

Building Energy Project of the Year: Carel for energy performance contracting on a medium-size supermarket

RAC Contractor of the Year Award:  JD Cooling Systems

International Achievement of the year: Mitsubishi Electric Hydronics & IT Cooling Systems SpA

Low Carbon Achievement: Boostherm heat recovery system

Refrigeration Innovation of the Year – Component, Accessory or Services: Cooltech Applications for Scalable MRS

Refrigeration Innovation of the Year – System and Standalone: Epta UK for FTE transcritical CO2 refrigeration system

Air Conditioning Innovation: VRFs, Heat Pumps, Fan Coils and Peripherals: Daikin for its R32 Sky Air A Series

Air Conditioning Innovation of the Year – Chillers and Data Centers: Efficient Energy for its eChiller

RAC National Student of the Year: Tom Tycer of Weatherite and training centre Chillair (UK) Training Academy
