A-Gas joins European data centre group

UK/BELGIUM: Refrigerant supplier and reclaimer A-Gas has joined the European Data Centre Association (EUDCA), as a member of its technical committee.

Based in Brussels, EUDCA has represented the interests of the European data centre community since 2011. With over 60 member organisations, it provides a vital platform for operators to engage with policymakers and industry leaders, promoting a sustainable and sovereign digital infrastructure that supports Europe’s twin green and digital transition.

EUDCA’s technical committee seeks to bring together industry experts and foster discussion on the latest trends and emerging technologies.

A-Gas will be looking to share its expertise in refrigerant management, particularly the stricter controls on high GWP refrigerants imposed by the latest EU F-gas regulation update.

“The Data Center cooling industry sees a high influx of capital investments on the back of cloud-based computing and AI development. Considering the size and environmental impact of these centers globally, transitioning towards sustainable solutions is critical,” said A-Gas EMEA MD Vincent Homrighausen.
