Beijer Ref reports strongest ever Q3

The Beijer Ref headquarters in Malmö

SWEDEN: Refrigeration wholesaler Beijer Ref has reported its strongest third quarter ever, with a sales increase of 41% and operating profit uplift of 57% compared to Q3 in 2017.

Figures released today reveal that Europe’s largest refrigeration wholesaler achieved sales of SEK3,607m (€349m) in the third quarter of this year, compared to SEK2,555 (€247m) in 2017. Operating profit for the quarter totalled SEK339m (€33m), compared to SEK217m (€21m) in the same period last year.

The profit for the period totalled SEK240m (€23.2m), an increase of 61% on last year.

Commenting on the figures, CEO Per Bertland said: “All regions are reporting growth in line with our expectations, although Europe does stand out. Of the European regions, the Nordic region has distinguished itself just a little extra. An unusually warm summer resulted in record net sales and profits for the region, with an organic increase in net sales of 30%, while the profit doubled.”
