BELGIUM: Frixis, the Belgian association of refrigeration, heat pump, air conditioning and air treatment companies has welcomed its 800th member.

The 800th member is installation company Alpha@M-Service based in Beernem, West Flanders, southeast of Bruges.

“With 800 members, our organisation is larger than ever, a record we are particularly proud of but, for us, this is not the end. It motivates us to become even better at providing guidance and support,” commented Frixis chairman Herwig Coppens.

The association, which can trace its history back to 1921, changed its name from UBF-ACA to Frixis in 2019. UBF-ACA had originally been formed in 2005 following the merger of the Association Belge du Froid and the Union Royale Belge du Froid et du Conditionnement de l’air in 2005.

The membership of Frixis includes installers, manufacturers, importers, distributors, training centres, schools, engineering firms and experts in the refrigeration and air treatment sector in Belgium.
