Chillventa restates its popularity with visitors up 7.5%

GERMANY: As Chillventa 2024 closes, the organiser reports an attendance of 32,796 trade visitors, 7.5% up on the last show in 2022 and just 7.5% short of 2018’s record event.

The biennial three-day event in Nuremberg closed its doors this evening, with NürnbergMesse, the organiser, confident that the event has regained its pre-covid popularity.

“Once again, Chillventa underscored its position as the No 1 among refrigeration technology fairs not just for its coverage of industry issues but also because of the 1,010 exhibitors from 49 countries, resulting in fully booked exhibition halls,” said Chillventa director Daniela Heinkel.

“Its metrics have now stabilised at pre-pandemic levels again. But the 32,796 visitors (2022: +7,5%)  were also emphatic proof that Chillventa is the most important trade fair for the community. The mood in the halls was excellent and the atmosphere akin to that of a large family gathering. Chillventa will continue to be the key event worldwide for the refrigeration sector including the air conditioning, ventilation and heat pump segments,” she added.

Around 57% of this year’s visitors came from outside Germany, with the organiser reporting that exhibitors were once again impressed by the visitor quality. Over 80% were said to be directly involved in the purchasing and procurement decisions at their companies.

“In 2024, the visitor profile at Chillventa was once again highly diverse and included manufacturers, system operators, dealers, building services designers, architects and tradespeople,” said Henkel.

An independent survey at the show found that around 95% of exhibitors rated their participation as a success, and around 94% of the exhibitors are said to have confirmed that they would be exhibiting again in 2026. The dates of that event are 13-15 October, 2026.
