CO2 refrigeration demand prompts Advansor expansion

DENMARK: Increasing demand for its CO2 refrigeration systems has prompted Advansor to build a new factory and headquarters in Aarhus, doubling its production capacity.

Initial ground work on the new 10,000m² facility in Brabrand – around 6km west of its current factory – has already begun, with construction due for completion by the end of this year.

Established in in 2006, Advansor has become one of the leading OEM manufacturers of CO2 systems for heating and cooling in supermarkets, refrigerated and frozen warehouses, power plants, food processing, chemical industry as well as commercial air conditioning. It was acquired by US company HillPhoenix in 2011.

The company experienced growth of over 30% in 2018 with turnover reaching nearly €70m. Advansor built a factory in Poland in 2017 to cope with the demand, but continued success means that the company has now grown out of its current base at Bautavej in Aarhus.

The new headquarters and production hall, which includes offices, laboratory and research and development department, will also provide room for continued growth.
