Daikin AC and refrigeration sales up 15.5%

JAPAN: Daikin has reported Q1 air conditioning and refrigeration sales up 15.5% year-on-year to JPY1,168,861m (US$8,101m), with operating profit up 0.6% at JPY104,355m (US$722m).

Group sales were JPY1,251,029m (US$8,655m), up 14.3% year on year. Operating profit was down 2.1% at JPY115,410m (US$798m), due to increases in labour costs and research and development expenses.
