Daikin R1234ze chillers to 1600kW

3rd June 2017

EUROPE: More pre-launch details have emerged of Daikin’s proposed new chillers using the low GWP refrigerant R1234ze.

The impeding launch of the new chillers were announced at last month’s Daikin UK D1 Dealer conference in London. The new range of chillers optimised for R1234ze will complement Daikin’s existing TZ and VZ R134a ranges.

The EWWH-VZ water-cooled 50Hz R1234ze version will be available in cooling capacities from 340 to 1600kW, the Cooling Post has discovered.

Like the R134a versions, the R1234ze models are fully inverter-controlled and incorporate Daikin’s latest screw compressor technology and new generation high efficiency flooded-type heat exchangers.

Single- and twin-compressor versions will be offered. The single compressor, single cooling circuit models will cover the range from 340 to 800kW, with two compressor, two circuit models available from 870 to 1600kW.
