Daikin to launch R290 chiller at ISH

GERMANY: Daikin says it will introduce an R290 industrial chiller amongst a number of new lower GWP additions at the forthcoming ISH exhibition in Germany.
Since previously championing the use of R32, the air conditioning and heat pump manufacturer continues to adopt even lower GWP refrigerants and diversify its refrigerant choice.
The ISH show in March will provide the platform for what Daikin says will be the introduction of its most versatile portfolio to date.
In addition to the company’s recently announced first CO2 VRF air conditioner and Altherma 4 heat pump range running on R290, Daikin has now announced the debut of a modular industrial chiller using R290.
Daikin has also mentioned an extension to its Multi+ multi-room heat pump system with domestic hot water by introducing R454C versions.
The introductions are seen by Daikin as complementary to its existing portfolio running on R32.
