Emerson webinar considers “naturals”

USA: Emerson’s next E360 webinar will consider the cost, performance and safety aspects of employing “natural” refrigerants in small-format food retail systems.

Emerson recognises that, in the face of regulatory changes, small grocers, convenience stores and restaurants are challenged with selecting a new refrigerant alternative that will serve as the basis for their short- and long-term refrigeration needs.

The webinar, entitled Opportunities for Natural Refrigerants in Small-format Applications, will be held on Tuesday, May 16 at 14.00 EDT.

Presenters will explore the many considerations operators have when moving to natural refrigerant-based systems, including cost, performance, safety and servicing impacts of natural systems. The webinar will also look at the evolution of natural systems from large- to small-format retail; the market dynamics driving an increase in urban small-format retail; US regulatory implications of propane and CO2; and the equipment and system architectures that utilize natural refrigerants.

The webinar will be co-presented by Allen Wicher, director of refrigeration marketing, and Andre Patenaude, director of CO2 business development, with Emerson’s Commercial and Residential Solutions business.
