GEA Bock becomes Bock GmbH

GERMANY: Compressor manufacturer Bock is celebrating its renewed independence with a new logo and website with the motto “the clever art of cooling”.

Following the completion of its separation from GEA, its owner since 2011, Bock GmbH is now presenting itself to the market with a completely renewed image. This, it says, reflects the company’s many years of expertise in the field of refrigeration and air conditioning technology in a fresh and innovative way.

Bock was originally founded by Wilhelm Bock and Hans Göldner in 1932 as a refrigeration contractor. It started its own production in 1937, becoming Bock & Co KG a year later.

With around 340 employees, Bock has production sites in Frickenhausen (Germany), Kostelec u Stříbra (Czech Republic), Bangalore (India) and Suzhou (China). It also has regional offices in Singapore, Indonesia, Austria and South Africa.

Bock is a leader in the development of environmentally friendly, economical solutions in the field of refrigeration and air conditioning technology including heat recovery – with one of the world’s largest portfolios of compressors for refrigerants such as CO2, hydrocarbons and other low GWP refrigerants.
