Modine to become Modexus Solutions
10th September 2026
USA: Modine is to change its name to Modexus Solutions after completing the spinoff of its Performance Technologies business and merging it with Michigan-based company Gentherm.
According to Modine, the new name reflects the company’s position as a diversified thermal management company serving high-growth markets, including data centre cooling, commercial HVAC and refrigeration.
The name change will be subject to approval by Modine’s shareholders. Once effective, Modexus Solutions will trade on the New York Stock Exchange under Modine’s current ticker symbol MOD.
The transaction was overwhelmingly approved by Gentherm shareholders and is expected to close on October 1. Upon closing, Modexus Solutions will continue to be led by Neil D Brinker and Michael Lucareli as CEO and CFO, respectively, and the current board of directors.
Commenting on the name change, Neil D Brinker said: “Modexus Solutions captures who we are: a company that combines deep thermal management expertise with the innovation and agility required to help customers solve increasingly complex challenge.”
Modine first announced the spin-off its Performance Technologies business in January, merging it with Michigan-based company Gentherm, in a deal valued at an estimated $1bn.
