Trane buys Arctic Chiller Group

USA: Trane has acquired Arctic Chiller Group, the Ontario-based HVAC manufacturer, specialising in air- and water-cooled chillers for commercial HVAC and process cooling applications.

Established in 1986, the Arctic Chiller Group has manufacturing facilities in Ontario, Canada, and Newberry, South Carolina, USA, with chiller installations worldwide. These installations include several prominent US government facilities, and mission-critical sites including hospitals, military bases, major research hubs and data centres, and city water filtration systems.

Welcoming Arctic Chiller Group solutions into the Ingersoll Rand portfolio, Donny Simmons, president of the commercial HVAC business, said: “With Arctic, we now offer customers even more choices for reducing energy and operating costs.”  

Angelo Troiano, president and CEO of Arctic Chiller Group, said he saw the support and investments from Trane expanding the availability and distribution of the company’s products.
