Unitherm acquired by Purmo Group

FINLAND/IRELAND: Purmo Group, the Finnish climate solutions company, has acquired air-to-water heat pump supplier Unitherm Heating Systems.

Established in 2004, Unitherm Heating Systems serves the commercial and domestic heating needs of the UK and Ireland from offices in Dublin, Galway, Cork and Exeter. It represents leading manufacturers including LG, Panasonic and Vaillant and has 65 employees.

Based in Helsinki, Purmo Group provides complete HVAC solutions to residential and non-residential buildings, including underfloor heating and cooling and heat pumps. With approximately 2,950 employees, it operates in 23 countries, manufacturing and distributing top-quality products to customers in more than 100 countries. 

“Unitherm has a solid presence in the United Kingdom and Ireland, where we aspire to grow as part of our solution selling strategy,” said John Peter Leesi, CEO of Purmo Group. “The company, which has impressive revenue growth combined with its heat pump expertise and technical know-how, is an exciting addition to our business.”
