Eco-compliant plug-and-play roof tops

BELGIUM: Trane has introduced the Airfinity range of compact and modular plug-and-play rooftop units.
Complying with the upcoming EcoDesign Directive, the units are also compatible with wireless technology.
In capacities from 40 to 250kW, the range is said to have been designed to save time and costs for replacing and improving efficiency of existing buildings across Europe.
“Our new rooftop portfolio was designed for flexibility. The units are user-friendly and allow easy installation, operation and maintenance,” said Dominique Silva, unitary product manager at Trane in Europe. “Airfinity products significantly saves time and costs for our customers during the retrofit process, which is especially important for retail facilities such as restaurants, cinemas or supermarkets, where the time window to install, maintain or replace equipment is very limited in order not to impact opening hours.”
Tandem multi-scroll compressors with capacity modulation provide high performance at both full-load and part-load with SEERs up to 3.5.
Other features include variable speed indoor fans, free cooling and heat recovery solutions.
