Single valve for legacy refrigerants and A2L

DENMARK: The Universal TR6 thermostatic expansion valve from Danfoss is designed as a single valve solution for legacy refrigerants as well as A2L and low-GWP alternatives.

The Universal TR6 is designed to optimise performance across a wide range of refrigerants, it is engineered for legacy R410A systems, as well as low-GWP refrigerants like R454B and R32.

The single valve helps contractors reduce truck stock and job time, while allowing wholesalers to streamline inventory and optimise shelf space.

Designed as an advanced enhancement of the existing TR6 product line, the Universal TR6 comes in a kit consisting of a valve, bulb strap, insulation tape, installation guide and three connectors: chatleff, aeroquip and flare.

The TR6 design incorporates a hot-pressed brass body with the entire power element, including the capillary tube and bulb, fabricated from stainless steel. The valve is supplied as standard in straightway version with fixed orifice and external equalisation.

The valve can be delivered with or without internal check valve and with an external superheat adjustment spindle for field retrofit. The TR6 valve has a balanced port design to reduce the influence from varying condensing pressures.
