Daikin buys Swedish heat pump service business
8th April 2025
BELGIUM/SWEDEN: Daikin has acquired the Swedish residential heat pump service company Kylslaget.
Founded in 2007, Kylslaget AB has 32 employees and can serve 95% of Swedish households thanks to its presence in key areas around Stockholm, Göteborg and Malmö. It currently covers more than 7,000 maintenance services annually.
According to Daikin, the acquisition will strengthen its nationwide residential heating service network in Sweden, increase the number of service technicians and further expand Daikin’s service expert training programmes.

Commenting on the Kylslaget business, Daikin Sweden MD Stéphane Cupani said: “They have built extensive service capacity and have created an outstanding training programme for technicians. We look forward to exchanging our joint technological HVACR expertise and utilise their experience to further build out our nationwide service organisation in Sweden.”
This latest Scandinavian deal follows Daikin’s acquisition of BKF Klima in Denmark last year. Sweden has one of the highest concentrations of heat pumps in Europe, with approximately 437 heat pumps per 1,000 households.
Scandinavia is seen as an important market for Daikin. It established Daikin Sweden in 2008, followed by Daikin Norway and Daikin Finland in 2018 and Daikin Denmark in 2024.
