ITALY/USA: DiversiTech, the US HVACR component manufacturer and supplier, has acquired three Italian component manufacturers and suppliers from Italian investment group Ethica Global Investments.

USA: Home appliance manufacturer Whirlpool has introduced a new insulation technology which is up to 66% thinner and allows up to 25% more refrigerator capacity than conventional foam.

MIDDLE EAST: It is reported that Hasan Onder, CEO of Daikin Turkey, has taken on the added responsibility of president of the Daikin Middle East, Africa and CIS region.

SWEDEN/AUSTRALIA: Wholesaler Beijer Ref is further increasing its footprint in Australia after signing an agreement to acquire HVAC distributor Turner Engineering. 

JAPAN: Mitsubishi Electric has developed an aluminium vertical flat tube (VFT) heat exchanger design which it claims can provide a 40% increase in heat pump air conditioner performance.
