Syclef expands into the Netherlands

FRANCE/NETHERLANDS: French industrial and commercial refrigeration contractor Syclef has expanded in the Netherlands with the acquisition of Rotterdam-based industrial refrigeration and HVAC engineering company Geerlofs.
Geerlofs is the first Dutch company to join the Syclef group, and is said to mark the beginning of a new phase of growth in the Benelux region.
Based in Meyreuil, southern France, the Syclef group includes more than 60 companies operating in France, Spain, Portugal and Italy. At the beginning of last year, Syclef acquired the Spanish refrigeration and air conditioning companies Enfrío and Iparfrío, to form Syclef Iberia.
Founded in 1933 and headquartered in Rotterdam, Geerlofs has been a member of the Smeva Group since 2009.
The company carries out a significant part of its activity internationally, with a branch office in Kenya, as well as representations and ongoing projects across several continents, notably in Africa, the United States and Canada.
Geerlofs employs around 90 people under the leadership of MD Radboud Blom, operations director Simon Vos, and sales director Marco Visser. All three will remain in their management positions.
