ESBE adds summer-smart anti-freeze valve

SWEDEN: ESBE has expanded its product portfolio with its Series VTN200 summer-smart heat pump anti-freeze valve.

This patented solution is designed to keep the valve in motion, this anti-freeze valve combines self-acting frost protection with an intelligent outdoor sensor that automatically deactivates drainage during the summer, when the system produces comfort cooling.

The VTN200 is equipped with an ambient temperature sensor that deactivates the discharge function when the outdoor temperature is above 6°C. This prevents unnecessary drainage during cooling mode in the summer.

Like its predecessor the VTN200, it features an axial seal construction that prevents the valve from sticking or leaking due to inactivity.

The valve is completely self-acting. When the water temperature drops below 3°C and the air is cold, it drains the system. Once the temperature rises to 4°C, it closes automatically.

“The VTN200 is a natural evolution of our frost protection range. By adding the ambient temperature sensor, we’ve created a valve that works optimally year-round, even in systems that switch between heating and cooling,” said product manager, PerJohan Brodén.
