Panasonic expands R290 commercial HP range

UK: Panasonic has launched the Aqua-G EVO series of R290 heat pumps, as part of its ECOi-W commercial range.

The Aqua-G EVO is available in three sizes offering cooling capacities of 56.kW, 67.4kW and 91kW, and heating capacities of 61.2kW, 80.8kW and 101.9kW.

Featuring an inverter-driven compressor and pump, the range achieves SEERs from 4.07 to 4.77. All units employ EC fan technology

One inverter compressor is employed on the smallest unit, with tandem units (fixed + Inverter) for the larger two sizes.

According to Panasonic, advanced refrigerant circuits and defrost management logic ensure reliable performance throughout harsh winter conditions. At -10ºC outdoor temperature, capacity losses are said to be around 15%. Water is produced at 55ºC with the outdoor temperature at -18ºC, and at up to 75ºC leaving-water temperature for DHW management at -2ºC.

The system enables cascade operation of up to eight units.
