Simplified evaporator control panels

DENMARK: Danfoss has launched Cool Ctrl, a new range of evaporator control panels that are said to greatly simplify design, installation, and commissioning for contractors and system integrators.

Providing a cost‑effective way to install or upgrade existing refrigeration systems, Danfoss claims that the Cool Ctrl provides contractors with a safe, energy‑efficient, and cost‑effective way to install or upgrade existing refrigeration systems.

Cool Ctrl is engineered for ammonia, CO2 and HFC/HCFC-based systems, and support hot gas-, electrical-, and water/brine defrost for flooded and DX evaporators.

Each control panel comes pre-configured with the standard control choices for industrial evaporators. These can control up to two evaporators and can be configured using Danfoss’ Cool Config software. Communication is via Modbus RTU.

The advanced evaporator control panels offer enhanced capabilities and connectivity, controlling up to four evaporators. They are designed with an intuitive touch screen and built-in web server, based on a PLC, with customisable settings, remote access and control, advanced security features, and support for Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP, and Ethernet/IP communication.
