CPC (UK) acquired by Swedish leak detection group

Agreeing the deal: Safe Monitoring Group CEO Alexander Larsson and Carter Thermal Industries Group CEO Chris Hufflett

SWEDEN: Surrey-based refrigeration controls and refrigerant leak detection company CPC (UK) has been acquired by the Swedish Safe Monitoring Group AB.

Part of the Carter Group, CPC (UK) was founded in 1989 as a division of Carter Synergy. It claims to be the largest provider of specialist leak detection equipment for UK supermarkets. In recent years it has expanded into other refrigerant gas leak detection markets both in the UK and overseas.

Safe Monitoring Group was founded in 1990 and is based in Vellinge, Sweden. Its vision is to build the leading European group of gas detector manufacturers. CPC (UK) joins a group which already includes UK companies International Gas Detectors and Eurotron Instruments UK, along with the Swedish companies Samon and Indupro, German businesses CSE-Tools and Bieler+Lang, and Swiss firm MEMS AG.

Carter Synergy has agreed a long-term partnership agreement to continue to sell and promote all their products in the UK and overseas.

The management of CPC will remain and continue leading the company.
