Quidos moves to increase UK housing energy efficiency

UK: Quidos Ltd, the energy assessor accreditation scheme provider, has announced a new partnership with asset management software company Integrator Housing Solutions (IHS).

The deal, which includes Quidos taking a “substantial” interest in the organisation, will see IHS utilising Quidos’ software to help social and private housing providers manage energy performance and make key efficiency improvements to assets across their housing stocks.

Energy performance certificate (EPC) calculation and lodgement can be completed in a fast, effective and secure way, with data then driving IHS’ Integrator Plus Energy Toolkit solution. This will help IHS customers, such as housing providers, identify the appropriate energy efficiency measures to install and at what cost.

This could include retrofit strategies such as wall or roof insulation, improved heating applications or heat pump installation.

“Quidos has long admired the fantastic products that IHS produce, and the integration will enhance both companies to deliver far more innovative and intelligent solutions going forward,” said Quidos MD Philip Salaman.

“This is a unique opportunity to offer social and private landlords exclusive EPC lodgement through our Integrator Plus Energy Toolkit, with a gateway to a complete end-to-end retrofit solution,” added IHS MD Helen Harrison.
