GERMANY: Daikin Applied Germany has acquired Aircool GmbH, its Munich-based sales and service partner.

Established in 1986, Aircool GmbH is a full-service company for all air conditioning and refrigeration applications for large-scale users. It has around 35 employees and sales of €9.8m.

The Aircool rental subsidiary ACR Chiller Rent GmbH, also based in Munich, is not included in the takeover and remains 100% independent.

In a statement by Aircool directors Bruno and Christoph Trost, the two managing directors described the acquisition as an important step for the company with its Munich facility remaining as the nationwide competence centre for industrial liquid coolers.

Based in Frankfurt, Daikin Applied Germany is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Daikin Applied Europe.
