Home air conditioner wins consumer award

GERMANY: Japanese manufacturer Midea won the Product Technical Innovation Award at this week’s IFA2018 home appliance show for its AirX air conditioner.

First launched at Mostra Convegno earlier this year, the AirX is described as a microclimate management device for the home by controlling temperature, humidity, air flow, cleanness and freshness.

With its sophisticated room air quality monitoring system, the AirX is said to offer consumers the most suitable and comfortable indoor air experience – a real domestic air conditioner rather than comfort cooling.

Equipped with multiple high-precision sensors and 10.1in TFT screen display, the system monitors the air in real time.
