Advansor upgrades all-in-one CO2 rack

DENMARK: Advansor has announced an upgraded version of its CuBig II combined cooling, freezing, air conditioning and heating unit with 50% more capacity, improved freezing performance, and wider operating range.

The medium-temperature capacity of the new CuBig II has increased from 400kW to almost 600kW, while heating capacity has grown from 650kW to 850kW. Advansor says that the low-temperature performance has also been optimised to ensure stability even under higher medium-temperature loads. This, the company says, guarantees better simultaneous cooling for both MT and LT circuits.

The expanded operating envelope accommodates a broader range of load combinations, reducing design limitations and enhancing system adaptability. Additionally, the increased capacity range allows for optimised compressor staging, which often translates into improved energy efficiency and lower consumption per kilowatt delivered.

“The LT capacity no longer drops as aggressively, which means improved simultaneous cooling for MT and LT circuits,” said Advansor CTO Kenneth Madsen. “The wider operating envelope supports more diverse load combinations, reducing design constraints and improving adaptability. Finally, the larger capacity range often correlates with optimised compressor staging and reduced energy consumption per kW delivered.”
