FRANCE/NETHERLANDS: French industrial and commercial refrigeration contractor Syclef has expanded in the Netherlands with the acquisition of Rotterdam-based industrial refrigeration and HVAC engineering company Geerlofs.

USA: Daikin Applied Americas has acquired Chilldyne, a California-based manufacturer of negative pressure liquid cooling systems for high-performance and AI data centres. 

BELGIUM: A newly launched EU-funded project aims to accelerate the decarbonisation of Europe’s food and drink industry by developing standardised heat pump solutions.

USA: Refrigerant products and services provider Hudson Technologies has announced that its chairman, president and CEO, Brian Coleman, has stepped down from the role.

DENMARK: Danfoss and ANEO Retail intend to drive growth and advance energy efficiency in food retail by expanding their partnership into Norway.

SPAIN: The Spanish refrigeration association, AEFYT, has warned of the continuing illegal trade in refrigerant, particularly selling banned R404A as legal HFC blend substitutes.

GERMANY: Mannheim-based energy company MVV has commissioned a river heat pump as part of a €200m project to heat 40,000 households in the Rhine-Neckar region.

USA: Honeywell has completed the previously announced spin-off of its Advanced Materials business, now operating as Solstice Advanced Materials. 

EUROPE: The European Heat Pump Association has called for the needs of the sector to be included in the forthcoming EU Heating and Cooling Strategy and Electrification Action Plan.

IRELAND/USA: Cork-based specialist LED lighting company Nualight has been acquired by US lighting company Fulham Co Inc. 

SPAIN: A total of 53 tonnes of illegal refrigerant and nearly €1m in cash have been seized in two operations by the Spanish tax and customs authorities.

USA: Carrier has reported net sales down 7% at $5.6bn in Q3, with organic sales down 4%.

ITALY:  Frigoveneta, the Verona-based commercial and industrial refrigeration contractor, has acquired fellow Italian contractor Freddo & Co Srl.

USA: Copeland has been named as a winner in both the refrigeration and heating categories in the 2026 AHR Expo Innovation Awards.

NETHERLANDS: Haier HVAC Solutions has appointed newly established company Technoclima BV to distribute its HVAC technologies to the Dutch market.

PAKISTAN: The Islamic Republic of Pakistan has become latest country to ratify the Kigali Amendment to phase down HFCs.

USA: Copeland is to acquire Sustainable Process Heat (SPH), a German industrial heat pump technology company. 

USA: Dr Samuel F Yana Motta, a pioneer in the development of HFO refrigerants, has joined refrigerant manufacturer Orbia Advance Corporation as global refrigerant applications director.

SINGAPORE: Described as Singapore’s largest, an industrial district cooling system, built, owned, and operated by a joint venture between SP Group and Daikin Singapore, is now in operation.

SWEDEN/ESTONIA: Beijer Ref has signed an agreement to acquire 80% of the shares in Airwave, a leading HVAC distributor in the Baltic markets.

POLAND: Daikin’s new Polish factory has won an award from the Polish Green Building Council (PLGBC) for its building design and incorporation of various ecological technologies.

BELGIUM: The European heat pump market is showing a slight yet uneven recovery this year, according to new statistics from the European Heat Pump Association (EHPA).
